William E. Blackstone (October 6, 1841 – November 7, 1935) was an American evangelist and Christian Zionist, best known for his advocacy of the establishment of a Jewish state in Palestine. He was the author of numerous books including "Jesus is Coming", which has been translated into over 40 languages and has sold millions of copies worldwide. Blackstone's ideas on Christian Zionism and the restoration of the Jewish people to the Holy Land, had a profound impact on American foreign policy towards the Middle East and continue to influence many evangelical Christians today. Blackstone was also a philanthropist and an advocate for various social causes, including the temperance movement, women's suffrage, and the abolition of child labor.
